IDPP Executive Director Leads RAG-AI Workshop on October 15th

On October 15, the Digital Research and Inquiry Lab (DRIL) hosts the second installment in its AI Tools in Research workshop series, “Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) AI for Research.” The workshop is led by Dr. Derrick L. Cogburn, who holds joint appointments in the School of International Service (SIS) and the Kogod School of Business, and serves as Executive Director of the Institute on Disability and Public Policy (IDPP).

This hands-on session will introduce participants to RAG-AI, a powerful approach that combines generative AI with live information retrieval to produce more accurate and context-rich results. Dr. Cogburn demonstrates how these tools can transform research practices, while emphasizing the importance of accessible, ethical, and inclusive AI use in advancing scholarship and innovation across disciplines.
