CRPD Mobile App - Support and Privacy policy
About
The Mobile App "CRPD" is the first of its kind in the world. This innovative tool supports disability advocacy and participation in global governance by providing ready access to the structure and contents of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and its States Parties. It also provides information about the expert Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and on the Secretariat for the CRPD.
The CRPD iOS 10 mobile app commemorates the 10th anniversary of the CRPD and is an initial step towards a comprehensive mobile “CRPD Advocacy Toolkit” which aims to help advance the goal of universal ratification of the CRPD and implementation by States Parties. It is designed to facilitate engagement with organizations and campaigns working on the CRPD, and to promote knowledge of related international frameworks. It is created with the purposes of knowledge, awareness raising, research, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

Overview
The CRPD Advocacy Toolkit ("the App") is developed and maintained by the Institute on Disability and Public Policy (IDPP) at American University. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
Data Collection
The CRPD Advocacy Toolkit does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:
We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location.
We do not use analytics or tracking tools.
We do not use cookies or similar technologies.
We do not collect device identifiers or usage data.
We do not share any data with third parties.
Data Storage and Internet Usage
Most content in the App is stored locally on your device and does not require an internet connection. The App includes an interactive CRPD Dashboard feature that connects to the internet to display data visualizations hosted by Posit Connect Cloud (connecct.posit.cloud). When using the Dashboard feature, standard internet network data (such as IP addresses) may be processed by the hosting provider in accordance with their own privacy policy. The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All other features of the App function fully offline.
Third-Party Services
The App integrates an interactive CRPD Dashboard hosted by Posit Connect Cloud (connect.posit.cloud), a third-party cloud platform for deploying and sharing data applications. The Dashboard displays data visualizations within the App and may be subject to Posit Connect Cloud's own privacy policy and terms of service. The App does not integrate any advertising networks or analytics platforms.
Children's Privacy
The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is suitable for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
